Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
The Editorial Board recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technologies, including generative AI tools, may support the academic writing and research process. However, the use of such technologies must uphold the principles of academic integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethical publication standards.
1. Permitted Use of AI Tools
Authors may use AI tools to assist in:
-
Language editing and grammar improvement;
-
Translation and readability enhancement;
-
Formatting and technical writing assistance;
-
Literature mapping or preliminary idea exploration.
The use of AI tools must not compromise the originality, validity, and integrity of the submitted work.
2. Prohibited Use of AI Tools
AI tools must not be used to:
-
Generate fabricated data, citations, references, or research findings;
-
Produce misleading, plagiarized, or falsified content;
-
Replace substantial scholarly analysis, interpretation, or critical reasoning by the author;
-
Generate peer review reports or editorial decisions on behalf of reviewers or editors without disclosure.
3. Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for:
-
The accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted content;
-
Verification of all citations, references, arguments, and data;
-
Ensuring that AI-generated content does not violate copyright, confidentiality, or ethical standards.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content of scholarly work.
4. Disclosure Requirement
Authors are encouraged to disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript preparation process, particularly when AI has substantially assisted in drafting, editing, data analysis, or content generation. Disclosure may be included in the acknowledgment section or in a separate statement.
Example:
“The author used AI-assisted tools for language editing and readability improvement during the preparation of this manuscript. All final content remains the sole responsibility of the author.”
5. Editorial and Review Process
Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality and should not upload unpublished manuscripts or sensitive data into public AI systems without appropriate safeguards and authorization.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject or retract manuscripts found to involve unethical or undisclosed use of AI technologies.
6. Compliance with Publication Ethics
This policy aligns with international publication ethics principles promoting transparency, accountability, and responsible innovation in scholarly publishing.
